Features of the Preschool
Satsunae no Mori prioritizes child-led exploration where daily curiosities naturally evolve into a true spirit of adventure. Young learners develop crucial non-cognitive skills by making choices, facing small challenges, and finding their own solutions during uninterrupted free play.
The dynamic outdoor playground features a wooden climbing tower, a sandy hill, and a wading pool designed to engage all five senses. Children are encouraged to get muddy and experience the physical world, fostering creativity, physical strength, and resilience. This is not a playground designed for passive entertainment—it is an environment engineered for genuine capability-building.
From the moment children arrive, they sense something different. The building's exterior is inviting but unpretentious; the team of educators radiates genuine care and professionalism. This is a place where relationships matter more than programs. Families feel seen here, not managed.
Delicious, handmade meals prepared in the on-site "Mori no Kitchen" serve as a core part of the daily experience. Students enjoy healthy, Japanese-style lunches made with carefully selected, additive-free ingredients that nurture their developing palates and appreciation for food.

Escape to Maeda Forest Park's 60 hectares of nature—a European-inspired canal runs 600 meters flanked by 240 poplar trees. Hike forest trails through "Hometown," "Gathering," and "Wild Bird" zones. Picnic on vast lawns, spot native wildlife and perhaps wild squirrels. Winter brings cross-country skiing; spring reveals rare green cherry blossoms; autumn lights up with golden foliage.
Experience Hokkaido's world-class skiing just 20 to 60 minutes from central Sapporo. Resorts like Bankei, Mt. Moiwa, and Mt. Teine cater perfectly to families with gentle slopes, rental gear, and kid zones featuring snow slides and tubing. Warm up with mountain-view dining, take lessons suited to all levels, and enjoy nighttime skiing under Sapporo's glittering sky.
Explore Tanukikoji's historic arcade—145 years old, 900 meters, 200+ shops. Browse vintage boutiques, try local ramen and Genghis Khan at traditional diners, sample Sapporo beer, and pick up Hokkaido souvenirs. Finish with a shrine blessing at Honin Tanuki Daimyojinja and browse the MOYUK SAPPORO complex before sunset strolls.
