The program was excellent, from the school and teachers to the accommodation. We chose this experience to give our son the opportunity to take part in outdoor education, and it achieved exactly that. The school and teachers were fantastic, and our son enjoyed the experience so much that he didn’t want to come home.

This program was such a phenomenal experience. My children and the students at Mita Preschool became best friends almost immediately. They made up songs, and fun games to play with one another. Even though there was a language barrier, they played together as if they both understood one another completely. They got to experience a new culture they had never experienced. They got to play, and laugh, and be children. They had so much fun that they cried alongside their new friends on our last day. I wish we could have stayed for a month. This program is fantastic and I would recommend it to any family I know, and don’t know.

Thank you so much for taking care of my babies. I was worried leaving them somewhere strange in a foreign country. You all made me, and my daughters feel welcomed everyday. We had a wonderful 2 weeks in the Japan Preschool Exchange program where my son attended Mita Preschool. It was a fantastic opportunity for us as a family to experience school and life inJapan. My son loved his time there. The program was arranged very meticulously and we didn't face any issues during our entire trip. Simply superb! It was a lifetime experience for us.

My daughter unfortunately developed a slight fever, which we believe she was already carrying before arriving in Japan, but the symptoms only appeared on day 3. The school, teachers, host, and even the neighbors were incredibly kind and caring—I can’t fully put into words how thoughtful they were, constantly checking in on us.
The environment itself is beyond words—so beautiful, peaceful, and full of nature. My daughter loved it here. She made Japanese friends and even started learning some Japanese words. She didn’t want to leave!
We truly loved it so much.

Features of the Preschool

Mitake Tozan Railway
Mt. Mitake offers a beginner-friendly hiking course that feels both safe and refreshing. You can ride the cable car up the mountain, then enjoy highlights such as the ancient Jindai Keyaki tree, Musashi-Mitake Shrine, and the beautiful Rock Garden.
